Costume Design

“Logic will get you from A to B.  But imagination will take  you everywhere.”

–Albert Einstein

This quote by one of the greatest minds of the 20th century embodies how I feel about my approach to costume design.  Logically, I rely heavily on historic and period research; I probably enjoy research more than most people, and can be a real stickler for historical accuracy.  But with a broad stroke of imagination, I will fudge that historical accuracy (when appropriate).  I enjoy melding periods together to create a new world, or merely tweaking certain aspects to please the modern eye, or adding some flash & pizzazz; the possibilities become endless.  My work has run the gamut of genera, including dance, new plays, musicals, and the classics.  Select a production from the menu to learn more about my designs & process.
