Logic will get you from A to B, but imagination will take you everywhere.

Albert Einstein

My favorite quote from physicist Albert Einstein is representative of how I approach my work as a collaborator.  Logic will tell you exactly how to solve the issue at hand, but imagination will tell you how to alter that logic to better solve the issue for theatrical purposes.  My knowledge of fashion history and garment construction answer the former.  The later can be solved in a myriad of ways—mashing up periods to create a new aesthetic, incorporating contemporary features or technologies, or creatively engineering an element that seems to defy the laws of logic or physics unlocking the imagination of the audience.

The laws of physics govern our lives, and science is all around us—including the arts.  As a lover of science and an advocate for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, ART, and mathematics), I actively look for ways to include science and technology in my work–both in practical application and academic research.

I seek to collaborate on art that is provocative, sparks curiosity, inspires conversation, and opens eyes to new aspects and possibilities.
